The CARGT OSM-MX8M-PLUS is an OSM Size-L compliant System onModule powered by NXP's i.MX 8M Plus.
At the core of the module, the i.MX 8M Plus pairs aquad-core Cortex-A53 clocked to 1.8GHz with an 800MHz Cortex-M7 for real-timeworkloads, and adds a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to handle AI/MLinference on-device. Imaging is served by an on-chip Image Signal Processordriving two camera inputs, backed by a 2D/3D GPU and hardware H.265 encode anddecode. On the wireless side, an NXP IW612 tri-radio brings certified dual-bandWiFi 6 (802.11ax/ac/a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 5.4/BLE, and 802.15.4 for Thread andZigbee, running concurrently without a separate add-on module. Wired I/O coversdual GbE with IEEE1588, USB3, dual CAN-FD, PCIe, and display outputs spanning4K HDMI, dual LVDS, and DSI.
As an OSM Size-L module, the CARGT OSM-MX8M-PLUS conforms tothe SGET Open Standard Module specification, providing a defined, solderableLGA footprint and a documented migration path across compliant modules withoutcarrier board redesign.
